What is Epora Wallet?

Epora Wallet is a non-custodial, permission-based wallet on Cardano. It keeps funds in an on-chain smart contract, and lets one wallet be shared across people with different roles. Owners control the rules. Spenders can spend up to a daily limit. If owners lose their keys, recovery contacts can recover access once a proof of life expires. You authorize every action by signing with your own Cardano wallet.

No. Epora is non-custodial. Your ADA stays in a Cardano smart contract that follows the rules you set. Your own connected wallet authorizes every action. Epora never takes custody of your keys or funds.

How is Epora Wallet different from a regular Cardano wallet?

A regular Cardano wallet has one key and one owner. Lose the key and the ADA is gone for good. Epora keeps funds in an on-chain smart contract with rules on top: a daily limit for each spender, approvals from co-signers, scheduled payments, and a proof of life. If no owner signs for long enough, that proof of life lets recovery contacts recover access.

Why does the wallet talk about fund pools?

Cardano records money as separate chunks called UTxOs, not as one running balance. A regular wallet adds its chunks up and shows you one number. An Epora smart wallet keeps its money at the wallet's own contract address and shows the chunks as fund pools, because each payment picks the pools it spends. Your balance is still the total of all pools: a payment spends whole pools and returns the change as a new pool. Tidy funds has no fixed two-pool or native-asset count limit. The transaction builder and current Cardano limits decide what fits. If a Tidy transaction is too large, select fewer pools and try again.

What does it cost?

Epora itself is free. There is no service fee, no subscription and no token to buy. You pay the Cardano network fee for each transaction you sign. That fee goes to the network. Mainnet transactions use real ADA. Test networks use test ADA.

Is Epora Wallet on Cardano mainnet?

Epora supports a mainnet beta and test networks. Check the network shown by this deployment. The beta has not been audited. Mainnet uses real funds, and you can lose all funds you use with the app.

What is a dead-man switch wallet?

Accepted Answer

A dead-man switch wallet starts a recovery on its own when the main owners stop using it for a set period. In Epora Wallet, owners set a proof of life. If no owner signs a Cardano transaction before it expires, recovery contacts can step in and recover the wallet. It is useful for inheritance, or for a team that cannot risk losing access to its treasury.
